In 1994, former Salisbury University student Patrick Sullivan collected folk material. His collection documents the folklore associated with hockey fans. In this paper, he describes some of the superstitions and stereotypes that pertain to this folk group. He also shares his reminiscences of him attending the games with his mother. The student have collected many souvenirs of the Washington Capitals over a period of 10 years. He parted with some of them for this project (pon poms, player trading cards, autographs enclosed).
